The CMLS Provincial Student Council hosts MedFest: Solara at the Senior High School Audio Visual Room on April 13, 2026.

The College of Medical Laboratory Science (CMLS), through its Provincial Student Council, held its acquaintance party, MedFest: Solara, on April 13, 2026, at the Senior High School Audio Visual Room.

The program began with registration at 12:00 PM, followed by the invocation, the singing of Lupang Hinirang, and the CPU Alma Mater song. Dean Ma. Corazon P. Porras, Ed.D. delivered the opening remarks, welcoming students to the gathering.

An awarding segment recognized DeanÄ¢¹½ÊÓƵ™s Listers and U-Week awardees, followed by intermission numbers and the presentation of faculty awards.

The program also featured two games. Vipers Podium was a question-and-answer contest with three participants per round. Each contestant drew a question at random from a box, was given one minute to prepare, and had up to three minutes to deliver their answer. Questions were based on basic laboratory and medical concepts, with contestants expected to apply these ideas to real-life situations rather than give purely technical answers. Vipers Nexus, on the other hand, consisted of fill-in-the-blank prompts and the recitation of viral movie lines.

A food break followed before the program shifted into its more formal segments. Representative Amor led a town hall session, opening the floor for student concerns and discussions. The conclave came next, where the Vice Governor presented the councilÄ¢¹½ÊÓƵ™s accomplishments for the first and second semesters alongside the financial report for the first semester.

At 4:57 PM, a magnitude 4.0 earthquake was recorded by the Iloilo City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. Organizers canceled the event at 5:00 PM, leaving the closing remarks and DJ portion incomplete. No injuries were reported.

The afternoon ended at 5:00 PM, with CMLS students leaving the venue safe.
