PackUp, one of the promising startups incubated under the CPUGAD Technology Business Incubator (CPUGAD TBI) of ĢƵ (CPU), proudly represented the university and the region as it secured a spot among the Top 5 finalists at the Startup Live Pitching Competition of GrowthCon PH 2025. The event was held on June 10, 2025, at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura, and organized by The Business Manual of One Mega Group.
GrowthCon PH 2025 gathered over 500 industry leaders, startup enablers, and innovators under the theme ĢƵPowering Up the Startup Ecosystem Through AI.ĢƵ The Startup Live Pitching Competition showcased breakthrough ideas from across the country, with PackUp emerging as a standout finalist.
Co-founders Matt Rafael Genito (BS Packaging Engineering) and Jed Matthew Mamosto (BS Software Engineering) took the stage to pitch Himo by PackUpĢƵan AI-powered packaging partner designed to help Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) overcome packaging and branding challenges. Their pitch highlighted how artificial intelligence can bridge gaps in design, branding, and execution for businesses striving to compete in the digital age.

CPU stood out as the only university finalist from outside Metro Manila, joining the ranks of startups representing top institutions such as the University of the Philippines ĢƵ Diliman, Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University, Mapúa University, and the Asian Institute of Management.
This recognition puts a spotlight on CPUĢƵs pioneering role in integrating innovation and entrepreneurship in academic programs. Notably, PackUp draws strength from CPUĢƵs flagship BS Packaging Engineering and BS Software Engineering programsĢƵboth firsts in the countryĢƵwhich are now producing changemakers for industries that need both creative and technological expertise.
