The Modern Interactive Digital Artists Society (CPU-MIDAS) held the ĢƵWear Your Art: MIDAS T-shirt Design Making ContestĢƵ from February 6 to 26, 2026. The contest invited student artists to create T-shirt designs that represent the organization.
Participants were asked to include the name ĢƵModern Interactive Digital Artists SocietyĢƵ in their designs while showcasing the creativity and identity of MIDAS.
Ymayah Franz L. Beraye won first place and also received the PeopleĢƵs Choice Award, while Khleomi Helen Z. Palmes placed second. The winners received cash prizes, and both the first- and second-place finishers will also receive free shirts featuring their designs.
BerayeĢƵs winning entry, titled ĢƵSIGIL.YXIN,ĢƵ uses MIDASĢƵ branding colorsĢƵyellow and orangeĢƵwhile presenting a more modern style. The design features sharper lines and incorporates cybersigilism and cyberpunk-inspired elements, which the artist said she is currently exploring.
PalmesĢƵ entry, titled ĢƵMIDAS: Golden by Design: Heart and Soul,ĢƵ focuses on the concept of the body and soul of an artist. In the design, the MIDAS ribcage represents the artistĢƵs studio, while the heart symbolizes an artistĢƵs passion. The heart also features a camera lens for photography and film, while the arteries contain tools such as an Apple Pencil, drawing stylus, pencil, and paintbrush to represent both digital and traditional art.
The design also incorporates a tribal pattern that forms the MIDAS logo and the letter ĢƵM,ĢƵ symbolizing the artistĢƵs soul. It is shaped like a golden egg and an arrow, representing the beginning of a creatorĢƵs journey and forward movement. Angel wings are also included to symbolize an artistĢƵs passion for art.
The contest aimed to provide student artists with a platform to showcase their work and represent MIDAS through design.
