Another feather in CPUĢƵs cap ĢƵ Jacqui Rose Lamparero ĢƵCPUĢƵs IronwomanĢƵ finished 3rd in the 2018 Mt. Mayon ASTC (Asian Triathlon Confederation) Triathlon Asian Cup Women Juniors Category held at  Legazpi City, Albay, Bicol on August 10 and 12, 2018.

Lamparero finished the 750 meter swim; 20 kilometer bike ride and 10 kilometer run in 1:14:45 earning her a spot in the top three.

It can be recalled that Lamparero finished 6th  place in the 2017 Subic Bay ASTC Triathlon (in the 16 to 19-year-old womenĢƵs category), clinching 1:18:02. She was the only Filipina in the Top Ten. She also claimed the championship in the 2017 National Age Group Triathlon ĢƵ Subic Bay Freeport Sprint Distance Event.

The 2018 Mt Mayon ASTC Triathlon Asian Cup was spearheaded by the Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP) and Asian Triathlon Confederation (ASTC) under the supervision of the International Triathlon Union (ITU). Top local and international elite athletes get ITU points for Asian and world ranking, and qualification to major international competitions.
