Last January 28, 2026, ĢƵ (CPU) announced that Dr. Dimpna Castigador has become a Certified WURI Mentor (CWM). WURI, standing for ĢƵWorld University Ranking for Innovation,ĢƵ assesses higher education institutionsĢƵ real contributions to industry and society. The ranking aims to ĢƵspotlight higher education institutions that excel in these innovative approaches, thereby inspiring advancements across the academic and societal landscape.ĢƵ

CWMs, such as Dr. Castigador, serve as voluntary mentors and are expected to guide other universities on a pro bono basis in the preparation processes of high-quality innovation cases that impact their surrounding communities and societies at large. The CWM program recognizes individuals who particularly have a deep understanding of WURIĢƵs philosophy and are committed to helping universities with innovative case submissions. Furthermore, active participation in WURI-related initiatives and strong dedication to fairness, neutrality, and professionalism are required of individuals in this program.

During an interview, Dr. Castigador said, ĢƵFirst of all, I am thankful to God for this opportunity to be considered as one of the Certified WURI Mentors. I am also grateful to our university president, Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, and to the entire CPU community for their support.ĢƵ

ĢƵThe participation of the university in WURI is a testament to the untiring efforts of its administrators, faculty, staff, students, and alumni in their pursuit of continual improvement and innovation,ĢƵ she said.

Dr. Castigador also highlighted the role of the CPU KapitBayan Awards, one of the ways that the university recognizes innovative initiatives, in fostering a culture of creativity and engagement.

ĢƵI am humbled by this recognition, and I hope it will open opportunities to encourage other institutions to participate in WURI. The enthusiastic participation seen in the recent CPU KapitBayan Awards inspires me, and I hope this momentum continues as part of the universityĢƵs vision,ĢƵ she added.

Dr. CastigadorĢƵs achievement has now aided ĢƵĢƵs aggressive positioning on its drive for internationalization. This achievement shows the collective commitment of the university community to EXCEL for the total person and the world.
