ĢƵ (CPU) formally launched its three-year Resource Generation Campaign, ĢƵTogether We Build: A Journey Toward Excellence,ĢƵ on June 26, 2025, at the Henry Luce III Library Conference Room. The initiative aims to raise ₱250 million to support the construction of a new multi-storey, state-of-the-art shared building complex for the College of Law and the College of Medicine.
The event opened with an invocation by Rev. Dr. Cris Amorsolo V. Sian, Senior Pastor of the University Church, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem led by Ms. Crista S. Huyong.
In his welcome message, University President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy emphasized the campaignĢƵs long-term vision. ĢƵThis is a journey anchored not just in infrastructure, but in transformation,ĢƵ he said. ĢƵThe funds we hope to raise will primarily be used for the construction of the new Law and Medicine Building. But beyond this, we are investing in the lives of students, faculty, and staffĢƵthose whom God has brought, and will continue to bring, to the portals of CPU.ĢƵ

President Dagohoy acknowledged the collective efforts behind the campaign, including the Resource Generation Committee of the Board of Trustees chaired by Atty. Doriedel Lozañes, the Administration, the Resource Launching Committee co-chaired by Dr. Dimpna C. Castigador and Dr. Diadem Pearl Sonza-Equiña, and the Secretariat led by Atty. Nestle G. Taala.
He also gave special thanks to Mrs. Perla G. Waters, member of the CPU Board of Trustees who traveled from Chicago to deliver the dayĢƵs inspirational message.
Speaking on behalf of the CPU Board of Trustees, Chairperson Atty. Von Lovel D. Bedona expressed gratitude to the university community for their unwavering support. ĢƵI want to thank you all for sharing your time, talent, and treasure. This is a long journey, but we are hopeful and committed,ĢƵ he said. He reaffirmed that the future structure will retain its official nameĢƵCollege of Law and Medicine BuildingĢƵas approved by the Board.
Atty. Doriedel Lozañes presented an overview of the campaign, describing it as ĢƵa bold and faith-filled missionĢƵ to create ĢƵspaces of service, scholarship, and transformation.ĢƵ She outlined the core objective: to raise ₱250 million from School Year 2025 to 2028. The envisioned building will house lecture halls, simulation rooms, a moot court, medical laboratories, collaborative areas, and wellness facilities. ĢƵWe build not just for today, but for generations to come,ĢƵ she said.

In her inspirational address, Mrs. Waters underscored the spiritual foundation of the campaign. ĢƵThis vision can be fulfilled if we remain faithful to our storyĢƵtelling the world about our God, our faith, our truth, His saving grace, and our commitment to excellence,ĢƵ she said, moving the audience with a brief retelling of CPUĢƵs rich legacy.
The event also featured a musical number by the Hopevale Musicale Performers, followed by the official fundraising kickoff led by Atty. Lozañes. She introduced the initial five key giving channels: Adopt-a-Brick (₱1,000 per brick), One-Time Gift, Pledge Over Time, Corporate/Alumni Partnership, and Alumni Giving Circles. ĢƵThis is more than fundraisingĢƵitĢƵs legacy-building,ĢƵ she stated.
After the launching, the campaign received ₱2.074 million in commitment pledges and ₱760,000 in cashĢƵan encouraging start that reflects the CPU communityĢƵs strong support and shared vision.
In his closing remarks, Rev. Dr. Dagohoy called on all Centralians to maintain the campaignĢƵs momentum. ĢƵCPU has grown into what it is today and continues to stand as a testament to GodĢƵs goodness and faithfulness,ĢƵ he urged. ĢƵAs we leave this place, may we be encouraged by the knowledge that donations have already been given toward this noble cause. We still have two more years remaining in the campaign. Pledges have been made, and sooner rather than later, we hope to see an abundance of donations come our way in order to meet our goal.ĢƵ

The ceremony concluded with the Alma Mater Song led by Ms. Huyong, closing prayer by Rev. Joniel Howard Gico, and a time of snacks and fellowship.
