On November 22, 2024, the ĢƵ Kindergarten (CPUK) held its Thanksgiving Celebration at the University Church. Anchored on its theme ĢƵAttitude of Gratitude,ĢƵ the CPUK Thanksgiving Service centered on scripture from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-20.

The celebration began with the CPUK students presenting their prepared offerings, followed by the singing of the CPUK Singing Group in a rendition of the song ĢƵLittle Life (For You, Jesus).ĢƵ Afterward, the opening prayer was led by Jhullianah Skyleigh Infante from the JK-Love class.

ĢƵToday, as we gather to reflect on an attitude for gratitude and offer our heartfelt thanks to God for His faithfulness and abundant blessings in our lives, may we find it in our hearts that we are doing this for the glory of the Lord,ĢƵ Prof. Praise E. Glory, CPUK Principal said in her opening greetings.

Selected students from the Pre-K Patience class led the reading of the scripture text from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Mrs. Anna Marie Z. Baylon, a parent of the K-Mercy class, shared her testimony of gratitude.

ĢƵI face conflicts with schedules, sleepless nights raising for due dates, taking care of the house, and my children. But every end of the day, I still manage to say, ĢƵThank you, Lord! I surpassed all of these and thatĢƵs peace.ĢƵ Mrs. Baylon shared. ĢƵI may not mention everything, but deep in my heart, God can see how thankful I am for everything that He [has done] to my life.ĢƵ

Rev. Dr. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on, Director of the Office of Communications, honored the event as the guest speaker, delivering a heartfelt thanksgiving message. In his speech, he reflected on the deeper significance of the celebration, highlighting the importance of gratitude in three ways: thanking God for the gift of learning, the gift of relationships, and the gift of GodĢƵs love.

ĢƵToday my friends, as we look back on this school year, let us be reminded that to every success, every challenge, every moment, GodĢƵs love has carried us through. It is only by the grace of God that we are here today,ĢƵ Rev. Dr. Jalando-on emphasized in his message.

After the inspirational thanksgiving message, the CPUK Handbell group led a musical presentation as a heartfelt way of celebrating everyone’s birthday. Afterward, the CPUK pupils joyfully sang the heartfelt song of gratitude, ĢƵI Am Thankful.ĢƵ

The program ended with a benediction led by Rev. Dr. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on.
