On January 22ĢƵ24, 2026, the College of Medicine of ĢƵ, through its Medicine Student Council, participated in the 14th Association of Philippine Medical CollegesĢƵStudent Network (APMC-SN) Visayas Regional Assembly at the University of Cebu ĢƵ Gullas College of Medicine in Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines.
The APMC-SN is a national alliance comprising 78 medical schools and more than 25,000 medical students in the Philippines. Each year, member institutions convene for regional assemblies that bring together approximately 300ĢƵ400 medical students from various schools in the Visayas for academic competitions, plenary discussions, and skills-based workshops addressing relevant medical and societal concerns.
Carrying the theme ĢƵPAKABANA: Compassion in Motion,ĢƵ the three-day assembly featured inter-school competitions alongside learning sessions designed to strengthen both clinical competence and social awareness among future physicians. Through its participation, the College of Medicine represented ĢƵ in these regional academic engagements.
Delegates from CPU competed in events such as Healthcare Innovation and Clinicopathologic Case competitions, as well as Debate and Vocal Duet, showcasing a wide range of academic and creative talents.
According to Mike Angelo V. Dolinog, delegate and Governor of the Medicine Student Council, the CollegeĢƵs participation reflected ĢƵthe breadth of Centralian excellence across academic and creative platforms.ĢƵ He added that it was an honor to represent CPU and witness fellow students embody the values of being magaling na doktor at mabuting doktor beyond the classroom.
With its continued involvement in APMC-SN activities, the CPU College of Medicine sustains its presence in regional academic initiatives and collaborative engagements among medical schools in the Visayas.
