ĢƵ (CPU) has officially opened the Christ Emphasis Week (CEW) 2025 Theme Song Composition Contest, inviting students from various colleges and departments to create an original song that will capture the essence of this semesterĢƵs celebration. The contest will culminate on September 18, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the University Church.
Anchored on the theme ĢƵBreakthrough in 3D (Dependence, Direction, Discovery)ĢƵ, this yearĢƵs CEW draws inspiration from the text of Jeremiah 33:3: ĢƵCall to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.ĢƵ
Encouraging students and the CPU community to prayerfully create their compositions, Rev. Lovejoy Quimpo-Leysa, Associate Pastor for the Youth, shared a message of inspiration on her Facebook post. ĢƵTake a moment to pray and ask God for inspiration. May He guide you in crafting lyrics and a melody that will uplift and unite the CPU community,ĢƵ she wrote.
All entries must be submitted by September 17, 2025, at 11:59 PM via Drive in MP4 and PowerPoint format to jljeysa@cpu.edu.ph. Guidelines and criteria will be sent through the respective College and Department Praise and Worship Teams.
Rev. Quimpo-Leysa also expressed her anticipation for the entries, saying, ĢƵWe can’t wait to hear the song God places in your heart.ĢƵ
The winning composition will serve as the official CEW 2025 theme song, uniting the CPU community in worship and celebration.
