Daily Bread Digital Creatives Director Pastor Amor Aurelio was the speaker for the College and Senior High School convocation.
ĢƵ aired its first Virtual Christ Emphasis Week Celebrations from November 17-18, 2020.
This semesterĢƵs theme, ĢƵLSI on a PPEĢƵ (Love-Sustained-Individuals on Promised-Propelled Existence), focuses on GodĢƵs loving power and promise. The theme is based on Romans 8:35-39.
ĢƵAs LSIĢƵs, we are love-sustained-individuals. God, in His love, sent His son Jesus to save us from sin and death. It is a kind of love that, in St. PaulĢƵs words, ĢƵnothing can separate us fromĢƵ; not even the awful threat of death,ĢƵ said University Church Senior Pastor Rev. Cris Amorsolo V. Sian.
Rev. Sian also emphasized that even as GodĢƵs beloved, we are not immune from suffering and the Bible reminds us that GodĢƵs love is greater than all powers that threaten to crush us down.
Faculty and Staff as well as Junior High School students attended their convocations in the morning and in the afternoon of the first day, respectively. While the Elementary, Kindergarten, Senior High School and College students attended separate convocations on the second day.
The University Church Praise Team led the singing of the theme song Raise a Hallelujah.
The Faculty and Staff convocation speaker, Pastor Norman Lao, emphasized that we should shift our focus on Jesus, the Author and the Finisher of our faith; and not on COVID-19, the author of our fears and doubts during these trying times.
On the other hand, CPU Junior High School convocation speaker, Pastor Reinel L. Abogadil, talked about GodĢƵs expression of love that allows suffering.
ĢƵWhatever hardship you are going through, whatever life throws at you, stand firm, for through you, and through GodĢƵs wisdom and love, you will arise victoriously,ĢƵ said Abogadil.
Teacher Jeuel Rychell Senina-Nicolas of GoKidz Asia, Kindergarten and Elementary convocation speaker, shared how nothing can separate the love of God from His children.
Daily Bread Digital Creatives Director and College and SHS convocation speaker, Pastor Amor Aurelio Alvarez, shared how we should not let unfavorable circumstances hinder us from going on with life.
The convocations were streamed via CPU TV Channel Facebook page.
