The Philippine Haggai Institute Alumni Association-Iloilo Chapter held its Advanced Leadership National Seminar in Iloilo City at the EON Centennial Plaza Hotel from October 21 to 25, 2019. The seminarĢƵs objective was to transform leaders to be able to lead others to Christ both by word and example and also to enable others to do the same.
The National Leadership Seminar was attended by several students, faculty and staff from ĢƵ. Evangelism was given emphasis as competent business, professional and religious leaders from strategic areas were motivated.
The facilitators, mostly Centralians had their own innovative, culturally relevant materials within the curriculum guidelines. After the registration, Centralian Alumni Susan Lee Chomi, Regional Representative, Haggai International Ministry Development- Philippines gave an orientation to the participants entitled: ĢƵHi VisionĢƵ. It was followed by Pastor Jemuel Harder, Centralian Entrepreneur and Evangelist who has attended a Leadership Training in 2008 at the Haggai Institute in Maui, Hawaii, USA ĢƵ on the topic ĢƵBiblical Mandate for EvangelizingĢƵ, with four modules.

Dr. Perla Suyo, former Dean of the CPU College of Education and College of Hospitality Management lectured with four modules on the topic ĢƵDiscipline of a LeaderĢƵ. Dr. Fely David, former Dean, CPU School of Graduate Studies delivered her topic on ĢƵEffective Communication in Evangelizing; Dr. Jasmin Jamora followed on the topic ĢƵCommunicating to the Next GenerationĢƵ.
“Effective Witness in Leadership ” was lectured by Dr. Lucy Catalogo, former CPU Elementary Principal and Faculty at CPU School of Graduate Studies. CPU School of Graduate Studies Dean Dr. Rowena Libo-on talked on “Biblical Stewardship” and Miss Mae Young from Manila on ĢƵSetting and Achieving Goals for Evangelizing ĢƵ.
On Thursday evening, a Cultural Night with the Haggai Institute Alumni was held at the hotel, with each seminar group presenting a song number or a skit before the fellowship dinner followed.
The convocation was held on Friday, last day of the seminar – with Rev. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on, Philippine Haggai Institute Alumni Association – Iloilo Chapter President and CPU Communications Director. Rev. Jalando-on shared what he learned from Haggai Institute in Hawaii.
