A legacy of excellence beyond bordersĢƵĢƵ is again honored with the naming of an existing bridge in Iloilo City as ĢƵDR. REX D. DRILON BRIDGEĢƵ in Regulation Ordinance No. 2023-042 sponsored by Hon. Rudolph Jeffrey Ganzon, Hon. Jose Maria Miguel Treñas and Hon. Candice Magdalane A. Tupas, during the 12th Regular Session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Iloilo City.
The resolution states, ĢƵWhereas, ĢƵ has given several awards which include among others, the Distinguished Service Award and Posthumous Service Award, for his service to the University bringing to its height and grandeur which brought honor and glory to the City of Iloilo.
ĢƵWhereas, to give gratitude and honor to the illustrious Dr. Rex D. Drilon, for his faithful service to the Ilonggos, that it is only appropriate and fitting to name one of the bridges as ĢƵDr. Rex D. Drilon Bridge.ĢƵ
CPU President Dr. Teodoro C. Robles was invited to grace the formal ceremony of unveiling the markers of two remarkable bridges in Iloilo City on Monday June 5, 2023: the Dr. Rex D. Drilon Bridge, linking President Roxas City Proper and Rizal, La Paz; and the other, the Atty. Cesar Drilon, Sr. Bridge, connecting Yulo-Arroyo City Proper and Libertad, Lapuz.
